Lunar New Year Event Hub

Teamfight Tactics is an auto battler game where players compete online against seven other opponents by building a team to be the last one standing. This project is an interactive meta game inside the game client to celebrate the Lunar New Year. Players will be challenged to find the perfect gift for each of the Little Legends (characters) by completing missions and exchanging gifts.

My Role

As a Senior Designer, I mapped out the entire event with wireframes and created the visuals designs for the user interface. I managed the component library with all the creative assets and organized its contents for easy handoff to our dev partners.

The Lunar New Year Event had 3 Phases:

Phase 1 - Earn Your Invite

Completing 1 mission unlocks the experience.

Phase 2 (day) - Discover Gift Ideas and Acquire Gifts

Completing 7 missions unlocks Phase 3.

Phase 3 (night) - Exchange Gifts and Light Lanterns

After completing 7 more missions, the lanterns launch into the sky collectively to end the experience.

The user interface and the artwork was created in tandem throughout the project. This image shows wireframes to visual designs for a single dialogue screen.
