T-Mobile

Motion Tracking Experiences

Over 3 million fans pour through T-Mobile Park every year. As part of a rebrand of the 'Pen area, our interactive design team was tasked to develop multiple experiences that furthers the fans engagement at T-Mobile Park.

My Role

As an Interactive Designer, I was responsible for providing the art direction, creating the user experience, and designing the user interface. I worked with a creative technologist to integrate spatial tech into the experiences and 3d environment designers to define the physical parameters. We traveled back and forth from LA to Seattle to present the experience to stakeholders and install at T-Mobile Park.

Batter’s Box

Fans step into a simulated batter’s box to play against a virtual pitcher. When the pitcher on-screen delivers a pitch, the fan will do a swinging motion while three Kinect Sensors capture the fan’s body motions and portray it in the on-screen game.

After playing, fans will see a replay of their best hit – portraying them at home plate at T-Mobile Park – and see a digital baseball card of them in action, which they can email to themselves as a souvenir.
